Javier Sevilla

MSc, researcher at ARTEC and Autism & IT Labs at the IRTIC Technological Institute. He is also associated professor at the Computer Science Department at the Universitat de València. He has a Degree in Computer Science from the Universitat Politècnica de València and holds a Master Degree on Computer Science from the Universitat de València. He worked in ARTEC since 1998, where he participated in national and international projects related to virtual reality. He also worked during five years in iSOCO, S.A. in the innovation department, participating in European projects related with semantic web technologies and real-time 3D graphics, like ESPERONTO and SEKT. The last decade collaborated and managed many projects related with augmented reality, ontologies, recommendation systems and persons with autism, like PICTOGRAM ROOM, INCLUSIVE CONTENTS and SMART-ASD. He has published many papers in the areas of semantic web, virtual reality and technology applied to improve the quality of life of persons with autism. He was member of the Organization Comitee of the ITASD International Conference about autism and technologies in 2012 and 2014. He is also funder and the secretary of the ADAPTA foundation, created in 2007, where its main goal is the research and the application of technologies for improving the quality of life of persons with autism.
